Emergency Notification & Life Safety Systems Work

Project to upgrade and install a new networked fire, emergency notification, and supervisory monitoring system campus-wide at the NETL Bruceton campus facility with panels in 22 buildings (offices, labs, & process units). Work included site investigation, installation design package, functional specification development and significant interfacing with existing research lab facilities area monitoring, site evacuation, radio, telephone, and data communications systems.

METC Facility

Siemens PLC with Turnkey Panel responsibility. Designed, built, and tested this entrained reactor process panel which replaced an outdated mainframe computer system. Project design and building was completed in the required one month time frame without a single start-up flaw making this fast track project a huge success.
Power Distribution work and Calculations for new new PDU facility. CLI also provided ground resistance testing and design/supervision of the instrument, building, and equipment ground grids.
Conducted an investigation to confirm the area classifications. Control logic programming of the Moore DCS with the APACS software. Implementation and linking of control graphics and data acquisition graphics for the Entrained Reactor process.

MMI design and implementation of waste water treatment facility from third party P&ID's and mechanical drawings. Developed operator control philosophy and function of system with MMI viewpoint to assure easy operator interaction and proper control.

Designed 25 graphics from PID drawings and built graphics on WEStation graphics builder following graphics standards spelled out by CH2MHill. Checkout and Systems test work performed at staging site.

Implementation of the DCS equipment layout and design, including a 3D model in Microstation. DCS equipment files were referenced with existing model files. Two dimensional extraction's were made from the 3D model to develop the 2D construction drawings. Downloaded model design drawings to plant for future maintenance 3D model.
