| Letter from the President |
Tampa ISA President Bob Reinhart Email: bob.reinhart@controlslink.com We have a great schedule of 4 events including some very good tours. These events and their early scheduling will hopefully help more people to attend our meetings. Most of our meetings will be Ybor meeting at the Ybor Bunker(1907 N. 19th St. Tampa, FL 33605-3850 ph 813 247 6964) which is a coffe shop w/ good food and serves stronger drink too. It is an easy walk to lots of fun places and good to eat places nearby so why not come to an ISA meeting and see? You can perhaps enjoy the walking distance food and fun(and cigars!) before and after the meeting(call me if you wish and I’d love to give you a first time early/late meeting tour). There is plenty of parking at the Ybor Bunker on 19th St. which is where many of our tours meet and besides being a fun location to meet, Ybor is a great central location and for those of you who seldom come to the big city it is well lit and near I4 so it is easy to find. Our meetings this year will feature fun socials, mixed with tours and esteemed members of ISA. If you have an idea of something or someone you would like to include please let me know, I’d love to hear from you. We look forward to what will be my third consecutive year serving the Tampa Bay section of ISA as president. The biggest news is we are cultivating and looking for executive talent within ISA Tampa. Tony Morelli and I are very willing to help recruit other board members within ISA to help make our section a success. We have so much going for us, including local support and a healthy diverse membership, so why not come and get involved in a winning team? I want to thank Tony Morelli of Publix who is our treasurer and Maurice Hurst of Southern Company Transmission who is our District VP. They are great and their continued support of ISA Tampa is much appreciated as ISA is a volunteer organization. Let me leave you with that thought this month; please get involved. There are plenty of opportunities and the more you give the more you get. Come jump on the band wagon of a thriving and intelligent group of your peers willing to help you with your career and your enhancements in life…whatever those things might be. |

Join ISA and be part of the dialogue. Ever try to explain measurement and control in layman's terms? Mention plant start-up, real-time control networks, or fiber optic data communications to most people, and their eyes glaze over. It's as if you're speaking a different language. In effect, you are. Every profession has its specialized terminology, but the language of measurement and control goes beyond jargon. It describes what you do and how you do it, and it's changing constantly. To stay competitive in your field, you need to keep up with the changes - perhaps even help guide them. The best way to do that is to join ISA, the international society for measurement and control. With 47,000 members in more than 110 countries, no other organization can match the benefits and privileges ISA membership offers: Technical Information• Technical Division Memberships • Downloadable ISA standards • Web Seminars on the latest technology • InTech magazine subscription Professional Development • Discounts on training and publications • Web Seminars on the latest technology • Downloadable ISA standards • Career Resources at ISAJobs.org Networking Opportunities • Local Section Meetings • Conferences and exhibitions around the world • Mentoring program Member Privileges • ISA Member logo • College Savings Plan • Group Insurance Programs Through ISA, you'll meet people who speak your language on a local and global level.
